Note From Kristine Day, Author of:

I Can’t Miss the Encore

Family, Friends, and Everyone,

It’s taken me 10 years to write “Encore.” Actually, it’s taken a lifetime. But I Can’t Miss the Encore, is finally published and on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Cant-Miss-Encore-Straight-Rainbow-ebook/dp/B0FNPPFBCY  The book tells about my struggles with same-sex attraction (SSA) and my husband Allen’s  bipolar disorder (BPD), our challenges and our triumphs. This book is about family, hope, love, and commitment and about averting possible disaster when an SSA woman and a BPD man marry. I invite you to read it, forward it, share it and, if you would, write a book review and send it to kris@kristineday.com subject line, ENCORE. My goal is 1,000 book reviews! So if you could share those with me, that’d be awesome!

Also, feel free to contact me for speaking engagements.

Book Review by our son, Nik Day

I read this book while on a cruise with my family, and even during all the fun and distractions, I couldn’t put it down. Of course, it’s personal to me—after all, the author is my mother—but beyond that, it was moving to read stories I’d never heard before and to see familiar moments told from her perspective.

This book is about resilience, identity, faith in Jesus Christ, and the deep bonds of family. I laughed out loud, I cried (genuinely), and I walked away reflecting deeply on my own eternal identity and the kind of person I want to become.

Whether you’re seeking inspiration, struggling to find your place in the world, or simply need a reminder that God is aware of you, this book offers comfort, clarity, and hope. It’s not just a family memoir—it’s a guidepost for anyone navigating the storms of life while trying to stay anchored in faith.  Nik Day— Singer/songwriter of Christian music and songwriting coach
